And the Foundation Slogan is "FRIENDS for Friends".
MISSION:The Good Friends Foundation Inc. of Lucena City, Quezon, initiated by a group of Quezon National High School Class '71 alumni residing abroad and in the Philippines, aims to provide college scholarship to qualified and deserving graduates of QPHS/QNHS.
VISION:The Good Friends Foundation will initiate, lead and serve as a model for other alumni associations of QNHS in providing structured scholarship grants to qualified and deserving graduates of QNHS. The Foundation, through the collective efforts and support of its members, is envisioned to be an organization with its goals, values and aspiration passed on from one generation to another.
VALUES:Integrity:We will, at all times, be honest and ethical in all our undertakings.
Excellence:All members, especially the officers, are expected to give their best efforts in ensuring that the mission, vision and goals of the Foundation are met unconditionally.
Timeliness:We will, at the best of our abilities, demonstrate punctuality in meeting our timelines.
Fairness:We will be fair during our scholars' structured selection processes, and will never will we favor any candidate/s as a result of personal ties to any Foundation members, whether it be by blood or friendly relations.
Volunteerism:The spirit of volunteerism should reign supreme in the minds and hearts of all Foundation members. We are bound, first of all by our friendship, and then by a common goal of giving something back to our Alma Mater through these scholarship grants to qualified and deserving graduates of QNHS.
Generosity:Though the Foundation stipulates the members' annual financial commitments for each foreign and Philippine residents, any generous contribution by any member will be greatly appreciated, for this will help ensure the financial stability of the Foundation in the future years.
GOALS:- To provide financial support through scholarship grant for tertiary education to qualified and deserving graduates of Quezon National High School until his/her completion of a four- or five-year college course.
- The Foundation also aims to assist QNHS in preparing its graduating students for college education by providing career guidance classes, and/or by donating necessary school equipments/tools that will help the students’ transition to higher level of education.
- The Foundation intends to meet its annual financial obligations through:
- annual membership contributions,
- fund-raising activities by its members,
- properly investing the Foundation Funds,
- reaching other QPHS/QNHS alumni classes to provide full scholarships for their own class scholar/s,
- soliciting assistance or financial contributions from other QNHS alumni groups, and other charitable and philanthropic organizations and individuals.
